In April I made a very quick zine, not planning on it being anything more than a fun test of the ink blocks I have and a way to use some of the text cut-outs I’ve been collecting for decades. As these things usually do, it ended up meaning more than I thought and helping me work out some things (I still want to maybe be an art therapist one day).
I’ve been trying to recover from a bad bout of agoraphobia that got set off in October of 2022. It sucks!! Big shocking reveal, agoraphobia is really not nice.
Maybe one day I’ll continue with this zine. I still haven’t folded it and I’d like to draw on it before I think about selling it (maybe drawing on a scanned version digitally, as a mix of real and surreal?), but I like how it looks on my wall just like this too! Maybe I’m leaving it unfinished because I still can’t leave the house and walk 5 minutes away by myself without hyperventilating and shaking? Maybe I’ll finish it when I feel freer.
